EDITED VOLUME ON CORRUPTION AND
ANTI-CORRUPTION IN THE GLOBAL SOUTH
The Global (Anti)Corruption Studies research group at King's College London is looking for contributors for an upcoming publication on Corruption and Anti-Corruption in the Global South. Selected papers will be published in the form of chapters in an edited volume.
This volume will concentrate on the themes below, initially covered at the Education for Justice (E4J) Corruption and Anti-Corruption Brazil and China conference funded by the UNODC which took place on 15-19 March 2021.
ANTI-CORRUPTION IN THE GLOBAL SOUTH
The Global (Anti)Corruption Studies research group at King's College London is looking for contributors for an upcoming publication on Corruption and Anti-Corruption in the Global South. Selected papers will be published in the form of chapters in an edited volume.
This volume will concentrate on the themes below, initially covered at the Education for Justice (E4J) Corruption and Anti-Corruption Brazil and China conference funded by the UNODC which took place on 15-19 March 2021.
We especially encourage submissions on the following topics:
Corruption in the public and private sectors
Gender and corruption
Corruption and development
Corruption and ethnic relations
Corruption and human rights
Corruption (and/or anti-corruption) and technology
Citizen participation in anti-corruption
Anti-corruption practice and innovation
Anti-corruption education
Regional and international anti-corruption instruments and their impact on the Global South
ABOUT THE PUBLICATION
Governments, businesses, civil society, regional and international organisations in the Global South have developed various initiatives to promote integrity and transparency. However, these practices and experiences are often underrepresented in research and in the international corruption studies curriculum that remains oriented mainly to the western legal and public administration corpus.
This edited volume aims to address this significant imbalance by promoting knowledge dissemination on the Global South specifically, contributing to decolonising corruption and anti-corruption studies, by looking at forefront topics in single case and comparative studies.
For those interested in a joint chapter, we can facilitate collaboration by pairing academics from two or more countries to explore the possibility of working on theme-based, comparative chapters.

The goal is contributing to decolonising the corruption studies curriculum and democratizing the dialogue between policy makers, practitioners and the general public.
